Tanner and Allyson
Attending an out of state wedding is always fun, and even more so when I get to photograph it! I flew out to Minnesota and spent the weekend with Allyson, Tanner, and a whole host of family and friends. What makes this even more special is that I have known Allyson since she was in 7th grade and she was even a bridesmaid in my own wedding!
Allyson and Tanner met while at a YWAM (Youth With A Mission) base in Denver. They worked as staff together until they both moved back to Minnesota, where Tanner’s family lives. They were engaged soon after and began planning right away.
The wedding weekend was quite the whirlwind! I came in on Thursday evening and it was go, go, go from there. There was a bridal shower and rehearsal dinner, then the wedding day! And of course that last day was the best. Almost everyone was staying in Tanner’s parents house (which, by the way, was wonderfully gracious of them. They were wonderful hosts!), so that is where all of the getting ready happened. The morning was flurry of excitement with the girls getting ready upstairs and the boys all downstairs. It made making sure no accidental peaks happened challenging! The first look was out back in the yard, then everyone headed over to the venue for pictures and the big event! The ceremony was beautiful and perfect and I had a wonderful time. Being a morning wedding, they had a breakfast buffet, which was basically the best thing ever. Plus, for the wedding cake they had little bundt cakes! All in all, it was a wonderful weekend and a perfect day and I am so grateful that I was a part of it.
