In July, I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of David and Aleaha in Seattle at the Seattle Marriott Waterfront hotel. We had absolutely gorgeous weather and the bride and groom were incredibly laid back and exuberant. David and Aleaha met while overseas serving in the Marines (of which they both still a part!). While in Japan, David took Aleaha up into the Tokyo Tower and proposed while overlooking the whole city! The love that these two show is very infectious and they were wonderful to be around.
The bride’s mom did a lot of the wedding planning and she did a wonderful job. Everything about the day was romantic and elegant! For example, one of the things that the couple did was after they said their vows, they locked them in a wooden box. After the ceremony, we went out on a family member’s boat into the Puget Sound. They then dropped the keys to the box into the water, forever sealing their vows away so they cannot be broken. It was seriously the sweetest thing ever! coming back into the venue, they had a wonderful dinner at the hotel restaurant, rounding out the evening with some beautiful toasts, cake, and a dance party that all the kids were very keen to be a part of!
